But the body of your post receives an enormous Amen from my heart.

We have a son who spent time in jail. Those 90+ days were heart breaking and expensive. I cannot say that it cost us everything (as it did my Elohim for me) but the cost was dear (we are now truly dependent on Grace for our retirement). We were overjoyed when he walked out the door of the jail. In our view, freedom for him does not mean he is free to pick up a bottle, nor to help himself to other people’s stuff, nor to drink and drive. He is free to be a law-abiding citizen again. He has experienced the consequence of a life of rebellion, a price was paid that he had no means to pay for his fresh start. For him, one night of rebellious activity is a choice to spend a number of years in prison. For us, it is a trampling on the gift of the sacrifice of our retirement money. We gave without strings and it would be heart wrenching if he went back (going on three years now).

I wish it was just that clear to everyone that a glorious gift was given because they rebelled/sinned, and could not pay. We are not set free to pursue the thrill of sin, but the joy of following Y'shua and the fellowship of others who are free.Rainsonghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16004524351613975443noreply@blogger.com
